Chris and I met through mutual friends at university where we were both studying engineering. I have always dreamt about my wedding day, and I knew Chris was the one when I could picture him standing across the aisle. We connected on so many different levels, and we always had fun together. My favorite memory of our wedding day is our first dance. We danced under the pergola at Le Belvedere after a sparkler entrance to "More than a Woman" by the Beegees. I was inspired by the dance in the movie Saturday Night Fever so tried to recreate it for our wedding. The video of our dance was captured beautifully by Union Eleven. The cameras were set up perfectly to show the best view of us dancing even as we were moving and changing positions, I was impressed!

There were a lot of curve balls that were thrown at us for this wedding. First, we decided to postpone due to Covid. Second, in the months leading up to our new wedding date, my father got quite sick and was placed on a list for a lung transplant. It was difficult to picture my wedding day without my father, but Chris and I knew that we had to have the wedding. In the end, my father got the life-saving transplant 2 days before our wedding and was able to participate virtually. It was the best wedding present we could of asked for. Even though this wedding was not what I had originally imagined, it was still beautiful and we made the best of it. Throughout all of these curveballs, Union Eleven was extremely flexible and helped us with the change of plans.

The best advice I would have for planning a wedding is to remember that this is about you and your partner!

We decided to hire Union Eleven for both photo and video after discussing with Andrew and Derrick and seeing the quality of the photos and videos they produced in the past. One of my favorite things about the photos and videos we obtained from them is the amount of content of our guests. In our wedding video, we can see many reactions from our guests when the speeches are happening, and we have many beautiful photos of our guests during the reception, not to mention our portraits that take advantage of our venue's beautiful setting.

Union Eleven knows how to get the perfect balance of quality over quantity - We obtained beautiful group shots and portraits, without feeling like we spent a huge amount of our time during our wedding taking photos. We actually got to enjoy a lot of our cocktail hour with our guests which is exactly what we wanted! Derrick and Andrew were amazing.
