Dominque + Johan | Photographs and Video from a Chateau Laurier Wedding
Johan and Dominique met at the gym in Toronto in fall 2019. They went on their first date in November and gradually started seeing each other more and more. Johan says he knew it was serious when Dominique picked him up from the airport at 2am after returning from visiting his family in Venezuela.
Their wedding day started at the historic Chateau Laurier. Then it was down the street Notre Dame Basilica for a stunning ceremony. Their reception, which was more dancing than dinner, was back in the Ball Room at the Chateau.
Dominique’s favourite memory from the wedding day is the moment right before entering the cathedral with her father. They both loved everything about the ceremony. It was truly magical. They also really enjoyed the bridal party entrances and dancing the night away with all of her closest family and friends.
“We chose Union Eleven because they came highly recommended by a prominent Ottawa photographer (Miv). We saw their work on a previous Chateau Laurier wedding that had similar components to ours and thought there is nobody better to capture this moment.”
