Melissa and Julian were married at two of Ottawa’s most beautiful wedding venues - Notre Dame Cathedral Bassilica and Aquatopia. We had the privilege of both photographing and filming the wedding. Here’s a little word from Melissa about how she met Julian, and how much they enjoyed their wedding day.

I was introduced to Julian through mutual friends at Carleton University. He was tall, charming, and had a warming smile; I instantly knew there was something there. Due to Covid-19, we were forced to make some changes to our wedding plans. Nonetheless, our wedding day was filled with love, happiness, and joy; all of which Union Eleven captured so effortlessly. Our favourite memory from our wedding day was at the church, exchanging rings. Julian’s ring wouldn’t fit on his hand because he was so nervous and swollen. We also loved seeing everyone at our reception, relaxed and having fun.

Working with the team at Union Eleven was very smooth, and proved to be one of the easiest components of our wedding planning. That was probably because the team is well experienced, and we’re able to provide a lot of insight and suggestions that helped ease us through the process.

As for my tips for any upcoming newlyweds - be clear, organized, and write down everything you want captured. Take time to think about what you want out of your photos and videos, and let the Union Eleven team bring your vision to life. Most importantly, enjoy your day!!
