Shinjini + Mark | National Arts Centre Wedding
Shooting Shinjini and Mark's wedding was like a reunion for me. While scouting their ceremony location earlier in the day, I was met by familiar faces from weddings that I had photographed over the years. I immediately felt welcomed. As I watched some last-minute ceremony details being fine-tuned, I also felt an overwhelming sense of family and community at work; it was clear that a great big celebration was upon us. The day was split into two absolutely beautiful ceremonies in which friends and family gathered together to witness Shinjini and Mark share their traditions and exchange their vows. For their rooftop reception, everyone enjoyed some fantastic food, lively singing, dancing, fun games, stories, and of course, a lot of belly aching laughter. There was no doubt in my mind that this was a partying crowd!
In this particular group, I saw a few more familiar faces from past weddings I had shot. It was so nice to see my previous clients looking well and happy, enjoying life as a married couple... And so my hope is this: that I get to see Shinjini and Mark years from now, looking just as happy as they did on their own wedding day. They are two of the most gracious people I have met; their big day was a joy and a privilege to document. I can't wait to see what the future holds for them.
