Photographing an Intimate Summer Wedding in Ottawa

We’re pretty lucky to photograph in Ottawa because we have so many beautiful backdrops wherever we look. Some of them are truly hidden gems that many people don’t even know exist in their own city! One of the most romantic outdoor locations we’ve had the pleasure of coming across is Heart Island, which is a part of the Arboretum at the Experimental Farm. Surrounded by greenery and water, it’s a lovely place for a picnic with your beloved… or better yet, a gorgeous spot to say “i do”.

Rebecca and Andrew had a very intimate ceremony under a stunning weeping willow tree, surrounded by their families. While the guest list may have been short, there was nothing small about the amount of love in the air! After reciting their vows and making things official, the newlyweds hosted a beautiful patio lunch at the Courtyard, in the Byward Market. Couldn’t ask for better than that, on a gorgeous August afternoon.
