A Temples Sugarbush Wedding

HEATHER + JOHN

John and I met on St Patrick’s day at a local pub. He was finishing his shift there, and I had just arrived to meet up with a mutual friend. As soon as I saw him I asked her to introduce us. His smile got me right away.

John and I both grew up with family cottages so from the time that we first started talking about getting married we knew that we wanted our ceremony to be outdoors. Temples’ forest ceremony site, lush gardens, and log cabin interior were perfect for our romantic forest theme. We kept our ceremony short and sweet because we wanted the focus of the day, to be celebrating and spending time with our friends and family.

The whole day felt perfect and was a complete blur. Top three things for me was the amount of love that I felt from everyone (and for everyone), John’s expression during our first look, and the overwhelming emotion of walking down the aisle.

When it came to picking a wedding photographer, I had known for the past 6 years that I wanted to hire Union Eleven. I met them at a wedding show with a friend and I remember loving their candid and creative style. I ended up choosing Andrew because of his bio - using words like storyteller, playful, goofy, and friendly. Neither John or I are super comfortable in front of the camera, so I knew we needed someone who would put us at ease.  Andrew did just that and we are thrilled with how our photos turned out.
